SimLife DOS Patch READ.ME


	This patch will convert all earlier versions of SimLife DOS to the 
most current version, 1.02c. To find out what version you have, start the
SimLife program and begin a scenario. Once the world has finished being 
created, hold down the Alt and Ctrl keys and simultaneously press the V key. 
This will open a window containing the installed version number for SimLife
and some memory statistics. If the version number listed is 1.02c, you do
not need to run this patch.

	To install the patch:

1) Make sure you have at least 2 megabytes of free space on your Hard Disk.
2) Copy the two files, PATCH.EXE and PATCH.RTP into your SimLife directory.
3) Execute the patch program by changing to the SimLife directory and typing
PATCH and pressing the ENTER key.

After the patch is complete, you can erase the PATCH.EXE and PATCH.RTP files 
from the SimLife directory if you desire.

If you have been experiencing difficulties in changing to and running in 
640 X 480 mode, this patch should solve your problem.  You can change the 
mode either by changing the SIMLIFE.BAT file switch from /800 to /640
or re-run the install program and select the 640 X 480 option.
